The Mission

I am planning my first medical missions trip to The Philippines this coming summer. I am excited that while I am there I will be able to work with Mercy In Action. Please check out their web site to see the work that they are doing in The Philippines. One really cool thing about this organization is that the lady that founded it is currently living here in the Treasure Valley. I have the opportunity to meet face to face with her later this month. I am excited to learn more about Mercy and be able to talk to someone who has been doing medical missions work for a number of years.
They also offer a training course here that I am considering taking before I go. The class that I want to take is 5 days a week for 12 weeks so I would most likely have to discontinue my college courses during that time. I'm thinking the training is well worth it but it does not come cheaply. This is not a decision that I can make lightly. Thoughts and prayers are always welcome.
