Fear of failure and the fear of letting others down have been my two biggest foes in life. All too often they weigh so heavy on me that I can't bring myself to make commitments, reach out to others, or share what is in my heart. I hide within myself.
For the last few weeks I have been on cloud nine. God has opened up a door for me and I have been running toward it with excitement and joy. But suddenly I am once again mocked by fear. The "hows" and the "what ifs" stand in front of me taunting and spitting their venom.
One says, "How can you be away from your husband and children for so long?"
Another whispers, "What if God doesn't provide the finances?"
Together they snarl, "Don't bother trying, you'll probably just fail anyway."
But when I ask God what he thinks, he smiles and tells me:
"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed."
Proverbs 16:3
"So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised."
Hebrews 10:35-36

God is amazingly good! Last year, I kept getting "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." My friend out of the blue from AZ send me a package in the mail. When I opened it, it was a brass and wood compass, with the words etched into into it,"He will make your paths straight." God affirms His Word to us many ways..It is wonderful how He works to encourage and bless us and affirm His Words to us...Just because He loves us...YAY GOD! He will lead you, guide you and direct your paths, make the way straight when you trust Him and acknowledge Him in all your ways. Love you Ina -
